Common Grackles may visit your feeders during spring and early summers. They cause a lot of frustration because they can be aggressive towards other feeder birds.

Bird feeding done right can be a great help to your backyard birds. Done wrong, bird feeding may expose birds to new threats. Show your birds you care by adopting some simple changes to keep them safe.

Birds will come to bird feeders at all times of the year, but be prepared to see a slow-down in their food consumption over the next few weeks.

Get your hummingbird feeders ready!  Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are working their way north on their annual spring migration. 

April and May are months of transition for birds in the Susquehanna Valley.  Some of our familiar winter birds will be departing to nest to our north.  For example, you're much less likely to see a Dark-eyed Junco in your yard after the middle of April.

If you want to see Eastern Bluebirds nesting in your yard this year, you should make sure you have a nest box set up ASAP.
